Puntagave Rustico Raicilla 750ML – Raicilla has been produced for over 500 years in the Mexican state of Jalisco, Mexico. Jalisco offers a plethora of agave species, second only to Oaxaca. However, the Tequila made in Jalisco can only be made with blue agave. Raicilla from Jalisco can be made with many different agave types scattered across the landscape.

Puntagave Rustico is a line of Mexican spirits produced by Victoriano Joya in the Cabo Corrientes region, 700 meters above sea level. The Agave Rhodacantha is roasted in an earthen pit, double distilled in copper stills and a tree trunk, creating an aroma of parmesan cheese with an earthy green touch.

Puntagave Artisanal produces ultra-premium tequila and mezcal using a proprietary “Consistency of Character” process engineered by Guillermo Barroso Arnaud, the 2nd certified Maestro tequilero. The focus is on a high-agave taste profile, even in old expressions, achieved through experimentation and refinement of up to 52 batches.

Puntagave Rustico focuses on the “complexity of character,” with each expression unique to its origin, micro-climate, time, and production method. Older bottles were labeled under the Colectivo Regional brand.

Tasting Notes

A delicate blend of milk chocolate, buttercream, and a hint of orange creamsicle, with a slightly minty finish.
