Ableforth’s Bathtub Gin Old Tom 42,4% Vol. 0,5l

The founders of Bathtub Gin did not find what they were looking for in a fresh and courageous gin.

After their defeat, they fasted a decision – what you can’t find, you should make yourself.

To gather inspiration and knowledge, they researched various history books and made their very own gin.

First, a classic London Dry Gin was distilled in the traditional copper pot. While other bottlers complete their gin in this phase, the Bathtub Gin is still being tinkered with here.

Within seven days 6 botanicals are added to the distillate. This crucial process gives Bathtub Gin exceptional aromas, flavours and even a little bit of colour.

Bathtub Gin is only produced in small batches of 30-60 bottles at a time. Random samples are taken regularly.

The name Old Tom is said to derive from wooden signs in the shape of a black cat (‘Old Tom’), which were erected outside the walls of pubs in the 18th century.
