Each batch is made from a special selection of barrel aged reserve rums which are aged for a minimum of 8 years. A golden sipping rum it has a refined flavour. Whilst the oak provides some vanilla notes, the spirit reveals gentle apricot and nutmeg flavours.

Created in 1862 Bacardi 8 year old was initially the sole reserve of the family and would only be served on rare occasions. Seven generations on and it was released to the general public as one of the oldest private rum blends in the world.
