Chateu Greysac was established as a family winery in 1916. It only produced wine for the family, as well as a few nearby farms that wanted to buy some for special occasions. The weather is perfect hot enough for grapes to grow, but also wet at times for them to absorb water and become large and juicy the ideal scenario. Over the last century, the winery started producing wine for nearby areas as well, only to end up covering the entire Texas. Today, our wines are sold all over the USA and some of them have even made it internationally. Moreover, we commercialize fine wines from all over the world wines that can make the difference at a special occasio.Chteau Greysac is a beautiful mansion built during the 18th century that inspires French elegance and finesse. Some of its most famous owners have included Georges Hreil, the engineer who created the Caravelle plane, and the Italian Agnelli family, owners of Ferrari and Fiat, before Jean Guyon fell in love with it in 2012 and decided to bring it to its prime.Located on the edge of the Gironde, its soil is composed of rolled pebble quaternary soil and a clay-limestone subsoil. Understanding and observation of the terroir is the key to success at this Chteau.Interior designer immersed since the beginning of his career in the artistic world , Jean Guyon redecorated sumptuous residences and palaces throughout the world. It was during a visit to the Medoc that he discovered their exceptional terroirs. Self-taught, passionate and attentive to every detail, he embarked on a winemaking journey with the simple ambition of making pleasure wines for his friends.
