The appealing nose of this Chardonnay affords aromas of stonefruit,white floral, smokey oak and spice. The palate it fresh and lively with a bright acid backbone. Flavours abound of nectarines & peaches, juicy citrus and grapefruitpith. Good length with delicate texture and a fine mineral thread. An ideal partner to richer foods such as steamed crab, grilled white fish and fresh egg noodle pasta.Will drink beautifully in its youth but will comfortably impress for 5 to 7 years.

Product Description

Low yielding vines have been used in making this Chardonnay and what an impact they have. Add to that maturation in French oak barriques and you have something of a gem of a wine. Cloudy Bay’s fame has surrounded its success in Sauvignon Blanc, it being one of the first New World wines to be taken seriously in the UK back in the 1990s. This however is the secret jewel in the crown.
