Santa Rita Medalla Real 2018 Gold Medal Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep purple ink color with aromas of lively dark fruit including blackberries and blue berries. Other aromas are dried figs and baking spice notes. This wine contains enticing sweet, tangy berry and black cherry flavors with vanilla oak and spice notes. There are round tannins on a firm mid-palate that leads to a long, creamy, dark fruit finish.

Tasting Notes

Our Medalla Real Gold Medal has a very deep purple ink color. The nose is rich and full of dark blue fruit like blueberries, blackberries, dried figs and some soft spice notes. The wine has a sweet attack and a rich mid palate. The mouth has intense rounded ripe tannins that create the prominent backbone that leads the wine into a long creamy dark fruit finish.
