Schramsberg 2021 Brut Rose

In 1965, Jack and Jamie Davies founded Schramsberg Vineyards in Napa Valley’s Diamond Mountain District. The 220-acre estate, with caves dating back to the 1880s, produces handcrafted sparkling wines from their 43-acre estate and top vineyard parcels in cool-climate regions like Napa-Carneros, Sonoma-Carneros, Mendocino, and the Sonoma and Marin coasts. Schramsberg is unique in barrel-fermenting 25% of its juice to create rich, complex wines. Their top offering, the J. Schram, is even hand-labeled.

The winery uses hand-harvested fruit and hand-riddled bottles, crafting limited quantities of base wines from 120 vineyard blocks. Schramsberg is a recognized leader in California sparkling wines, proudly served at the White House and global state functions for decades. Today, Jack and Jamies son, Hugh, manages the winery.

Tasting Notes:
This sparkling wine presents aromas and flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and cherries, with notes of candied mango, pineapple, and papaya. The blend includes barrel-fermented wine (28%) for richness, with a juicy viscosity and a long, lingering finish.
