The property is owned by sisters Fabia Cornaro dellAcqua and Giovanna Cornaro Folonari, who is the wife of Ambrogio Folonari and mother of Giovanni.A GEM IN MONTALCINOLocated westsouthwest of the town of Montalcino, Tenuta la Fuga was originally part of the Camigliano estate. The 75-acre property was split from that estate in the early 1980s and sold to owners who developed it over two decades before selling it to the Folonari family in February of 2002. Of the estate’s total area, 25 acres are planted to vines registered under two appellations, with 16.25 acres classified for Brunello di Montalcino and 4.37 acres classified for each of Rosso di Montalcino and IGT Toscana. The only variety grown is Sangiovese.

Tasting Notes

The wine shows intense red berry aromas with leather notes on the nose and palate. The wine is full-bodied with high acidity, polished tannins and a long finish.
