Tua Rita Rosso Dei Notri

Created by Virgilio Bisti and Rita Tua, this Italian winery released its first vintage in 1992. The 22 hectare estate is located in the small Medieval town of Suvereto, on the coast south of Bolgheri. Virgilio and Rita purchased the estate in 1984 with modest ambitions. Planting Merlot and Cabernet, the couple took nearly a decade to release their first wine, the Bordeaux style Giusto di Notri. The winery got its big break when the 2000 vintage of the Redigaffi Merlot was awarded 100 points from Robert Parker (the first Italian wine to do so). Today considered an icon, Tua Rita is still family run, although Virgilio sadly passed away in 2010. Under the direction of winemaker Luca DAttoma, Tua Rita produces only 3400 cases of wine each year.

Tua Rita has always expressed the best during warm vintages in fact 2016 is the proof of how the heat and great thermal excursion between night and day can communicate the true style of Tua Rita. Rosso dei Notri aticipes the other wines through the remarkable structure combined with the rich fruits.”
