Willi Schaefer QBA Dry Mosel Riesling

For knowledgeable German wine drinkers, Willi Schaefer is the Maestro of the Mittel Mosel, revered for the brilliant Rieslings he makes from two of the regions greatest vineyards, Graacher Domprobst and Graacher Himmelreich.

It’s not often that this iconic wine grower produces a Riesling in a dry (trocken) style. Only when the conditions are ideal will the winery choose to ferment a wine to dryness. Vinified in large neutral oak barrels and kept on the lees, it’s a complex wine with firm acidity and cool orchard fruit flavors.
